Attention drivers and teams,
We would like to officially confirm that the BNL Karting Series Grand Kick-Off will be proceeding as planned between March 20th and 21st at Karting Genk: Home of Champions.
There has been a lot of hard work behind the scenes to make this happen, and without the support of the Limburg municipality and the Mayor of Genk, this event would not have been possible.
With the current COVID-19 restrictions still in place, this does however mean that the event will be taking place behind closed doors, with no spectators allowed.
As a result of the municipality's decision, we must adhere to the hefty restrictions that will be in place, as we had back in August of last year onwards, when the Kick-Off 2.0 Reboot took place:
✅ Online registration
✅ Face masks to be worn at all times in all places, including awnings.
✅ Social distancing to be adhered to
✅ Wash your hands with soap as often as possible
✅ Use hand sanitizer when required.
✅ Each driver will receive two bracelets – one for the mechanic and additional person
✅ Team manager will receive two bracelets – one for them and data engineer.
✅ A responsible member of the team must sign in all drivers on site.
We expect all attendees that are coming to Karting Genk to co-operate with all measures in place. If an individual does not want to respect these measures, please remain at home!
If any driver or person is due to attend, and has symptoms of COVID-19, please remain at home and we hope that you get better soon.
A MANDATORY requirement for all attendees is to fill out the required forms as below, which also includes the public health locator form as specified by the Belgian government:
Belgium public health locator form: https://travel.info-coronavirus.be/public-health-passenger-locator-form?fbclid=IwAR3RHSg1rVESVoDnWDNDungtpFagpdkWvn03c4N2ujsFmSLBQFeVW408Ba4
The site for camping is open, but only on request. Requests must be sent to: firstname.lastname@example.org
Showers will be open with time slots being available. Further information will be provided in due course.
The restaurant at the track will ONLY open for take-away services and will be closed in the evenings.
Exact opening times will also follow at a later date.
Please also note that all free practice sessions can ONLY be purchased inline via the link below:
As from tomorrow, Wednesday 10th of March, at noon it will be possible to buy tickets for the upcoming week.
Thank you all for your patience and understanding and we look forward to seeing you next weekend!
